Park your car at the concrete blocks at the right side. Don't leave your valuables in the car! You can get yourself ready for the dive right at the car. You can enter the water through the small channel next to the concrete blocks. Swim at the straight angle to the blue line, drop off starts at 5 meters followed by a small sand plateu, after this reef starts at roughly 18 meters.

NOTE: Due to the construction of the second mega pier it’s not possible to dive at this unique wreck anymore. If in time it’s possible to dive here again, we will definitely notify you.

The Superior Producer was built in 1957 and sank in 1977. There was a heavy storm going on when the Superior was supposed to leave for Isla Magarita ffrom the harbour of Willemstad. After leaving the sheltered position at Sint Annabaai the cargo got loose and started to glide. The crew tried to turn but the entrance to Sint Annabaai was denied by the harbour authorities - for fear of having the entrance blocked by the sinking Superior. The ship was drawn out of the shipping channel by tugboats in a westward direction where it finally sank. After the news of the sunken ship had surfaced, it's cargo was robbed by locals all around. In the following months you could easily spot the t-shirts and jeans around the island.

The wreck is now a very popular diving spot because it lies even on the ground which makes it easy to dive around and inside. The wreck is roughly 50 meters long and lays at around 30 meters. The dive self is pretty easy but beware of currents which can vary from very mild to very strong. The difficulty lays in the entance and exit. The waves can be pretty high and strong here so there will be days you can't enter the water. Also, as long there's a cruise ship or Navy vessel docked at the Mega Pier, it's forbidden to dive her. Check for the cruise schedula at the diveshop. Booties are highly recommended!
